- To tie in with The Simpsons Movie, select stores are converted into Kwik-E-Marts, complete with life-size Homer Simpsons and products right out of the TV show. The promotion is a hit, receiving accolades from Advertising Age, Planet Retail, The Wall Street Journal and Brandweek. The promotion also received many advertising industry awards the following year.
