The Business Conversion Program is a new type of 7-Eleven franchise that allows property owners to maintain control of their real estate while taking advantage of the 7-Eleven Business System. It's focused on optimizing your merchandise gross profit and does not include your fuel business. It differs from our “traditional” franchise program, where 7-Eleven owns/leases the property and equips the building, and then turns over operation of the ready-to-go store to a Franchisee.

The Business Conversion Program for 7-Eleven began in test markets in 2005. We have since expanded the program and have now converted well over one hundred businesses to 7-Eleven® store locations. We are aggressively seeking to continue the trend in our U.S. growth metro markets and expect to open hundreds more in the near future.

How It Works
Under the Business Conversion Program, you become a Franchisee of 7-Eleven and operate your store just as our “traditional” Franchisees operate their stores. The big difference is that we convert your existing business to a 7-Eleven-branded convenience store.

With the Business Conversion Program, you continue to own or lease the land and building, pay store operating expenses and manage your store employees. The Business Conversion Program offers a lower initial franchise fee and ongoing royalty charge than our traditional franchise program. The term of the franchise agreement is 10 years.
